Thank you for your interest in volunteering for KATE KOMBO 2025!!  We’re grateful to have your support and enthusiasm!  Please read this page for important information about Volunteer Opportunities as well as updates, reminders, and instructions for Tourney Day.  And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for photos, news and updates on social media, too.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & DUTIES

KATE KOMBO Committee

Individuals serving on the Committee are ambassadors for Kate
Amato Foundation and agree to dedicate time to promote the tournament, share our mission, and seek support from businesses, colleagues, friends and family through Sponsorship and In-Kind Donations for the Raffle and Auction. We have foundation materials to support you in your efforts. If you would like to serve, please contact us here.

Tournament Set-Up | Friday, April 18, between 10 AM – 4 PM

If you are helping on Friday, please arrive at the KAF office promptly at 10 AM to help load items into vehicles and transport to the venue.  Once we arrive on site, we will be setting up tables and tents, installing banners, and staging all event materials.  This will be physical labor, so please dress accordingly.

Friday Duties: Transport items from KAF office to venues, set up tables and tents, stage and prep items.

Tournament Day | Saturday, April 19

Attire is athletic casual and please wear comfortable shoes.  KAF or event shirts are preferred.  Ladies, please wear white or navy shorts/pants/tennis skirts and gentlemen please wear black or navy shorts/trousers.

Early Shift (10 AM-2 PM).  Please arrive at The Yards Pickleball Center in Sawgrass for your shift PROMPTLY at 10 AM. Please report to The Yards Greenhouse for the morning briefing and assignments.

Duties: Set up tables, displays, signs and banners, coolers, tents, Players station, staff golf holes, set up for Awards After-Party including Raffle and Auction tables, host and help as needed.

Late Shift (2 PM-7 PM):  Please arrive for your shift PROMPTLY at 2 PM.  Please report to The Yards Greenhouse for your shift assignment and instructions.  Lunch will be provided.

Duties: Host and manage the Players Tent, Court Coolers, Golf Holes; set up for Awards After-Party; display signage and décor; sell raffle tickets; host and help as needed; break-down and clean-up.
