We delivered a whole lotta love during Childhood Cancer Awareness month!! In total, we delivered 55 care packages for children, teens and parents facing cancer, as well as four gaming systems and a boatload of toys for our little fighters. Special thanks to Once Upon a Room Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital for partnering with us to bring comfort and smiles to children in need during such a difficult time. It was just about the best and brightest way we could honor Kate.

Kate’s Kindness radiated everywhere she went and the Kate Amato Foundation was created to keep her spirit shining bright. This project is doing just that!

In order to help the most vulnerable during this difficult time and to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, Kate Amato Foundation (KAF) is partnering with Once Upon a Room (OUR) to launch Kate’s Kindness Project by delivering care packages to children and families fighting cancer in the midst of COVID-19.

Once Upon a Room is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing joy to children in the hospital for long-term treatment or care.  During the month of September, KAF and OUR are teaming up to deliver Kate’s Kindness to children with cancer at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.  Cancer is hard enough, but the additional restrictions, isolation, fears and uncertainty in the current climate are making it even harder.  We would like to pay forward all the kindness and support Kate received during her cancer battle by delivering care packages filled with love, light and encouragement to children and families in need.  We know this is what Kate would want us to do.
